An opportunity to join our team at Wadham School​​​​ 

As part of an educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 350 new students and over 35 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 850 learners across Years 7-13. 

We are looking to expand our team with talented individuals who are passionate about learning and relish the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of South West England. 

As we continue to increase in student numbers and settle into our new school for 2023, we are now seeking more colleagues to join our exciting journey and help us gain the capacity to continue delivering teaching and learning to the highest levels. ATTENDANCE OFFICER

30 hours per week, Term Time + INSET days

Hours 8.30 AM – 3.00 PM

Salary Scale: Grade 14 Pt. 4-6   Actual salary £16,047- £16,588

 We have an exciting opportunity for an Attendance Officer to join our team. Since the educational restructure in the local area in 2022, we have welcomed over 300 new students and over 40 staff into our community and are now a secondary school of nearly 800 learners across Years 7-13.

As we now continue to increase the number of students at Wadham School we are seeking more colleagues to become part of our journey to help grow capacity in delivering exceptional teaching, learning and pastoral care for our students.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to: 

  • Work with accuracy and efficiency in registering our students in a fast-paced environment to ensure that all students are safeguarded
  • Follow the school’s ‘First Day Contact’ policy and represent the school as the point of contact for all absences, speaking with parents/carers
  • Maintain accurate systems and reports (Using Arbor systems)
  • Assist in improving student attendance and support engagement into education
  • Undertake home and school visits as designated by the Educational Welfare Officer
  • Liaise with colleagues and support child protection, with regular update training where required

You are likely to be someone who: 

  • Can engage with students and their families to build a strong, trusting and reliable link to the school, upholding policies and promoting student welfare
  • Can create professional letters to parents/carers seeking explanations to unauthorised absences and follow up in a timely manner
  • Works well on own initiative and thrives within a small and supportive team
  • Remains calm and professional at all times
  • Is punctual, reliable and enjoys a busy and energetic workplace

Lead First Aider/Administrator - Maternity Cover

Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Leave

Weeks: 30 Hours per week, Term Time + INSET DAYS

Salary Scale: Grade 15 (pt. 3-4)

Actual Salary: £15,786 - £16,047 per annum.

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and experienced First Aider and School Administrator to provide maternity cover from September 2024 to July 2025.

This varied and exciting role will involve dealing with our student’s and staff welfare and medical emergencies around the site and completing a variety of administrative tasks. If you are a reliable and experienced office administrator, hold a relevant First Aid qualification (or are willing to retrain) with a passion for helping students and staff, then we would be excited to hear from you.

This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a talented colleague. 

 We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to: 

  • Assess and have oversight of the medical and welfare needs of students and staff.
  • Administer immediate first aid to those who are ill or injured and those arising from specific hazards at school.
  • Conduct quality control checks of first aid supplies, replenishing items to maintain required levels.
  • Offer comprehensive office administration support to the school team.
  • Maintain records and reports, including those for statutory requirements.

 You are likely to be someone who: 

  • Enjoys working with people, is confident and self-assured.
  • Holds a relevant First Aid qualification and enjoys working in a hands-on capacity.
  • Is ambitious for our students and thrives in an aspirational culture.
  • Has excellent office administration skills, using Microsoft packages, SIMS and Outlook and can multi-task.
  • Will embrace our highly supportive, professional approach to school improvement.
